Frequently Asked Questions

Why not a Teaball ?
Even though teaball has been around likely since early 19th century and has been a popular tea infuser since that time, we do not recommend it for brewing loose leave tea. In short, loose leaf tea needs to expand (or rejuvenate) in order to release its full flavours and nutrients. By trapping the leaf in a teaball, you will be leaving much of the "goodness" behind. Most teapots nowadays have a built-in infuser/strainer. Different types of infuser/strainer baskets are also available and they can fit most teapots or teamugs.

What teas are good for chilly days?
In short, all hot teas. But to be more specific, the following are some suggestions from our exclusive inventory:

Masala Chai
No syrup. Warm and spicy blend of black tea, cinnamon, clove, cardamon, black pepper and ginger. Straight or as a latte.

Pu-erh ginger
According to traditional Chinese Medicine, Pu-erh tea has a warm and energizing property. The zesty notes of orange and ginger complement the rich, smooth flavours of Pu-erh.

Honey Black
Smooth, light but full body at the same time, natural and delicately sweet.

Ginger Lime Rooibos
The dry and pleasantly flavored West Indian Lime variety gives our Organic Ginger Lime Rooibos a unique and zesty citrus flavor with notes of ginger and rare spices.
